RTI Game Creation - Dance

As a part of our RTI time at the Elementary students that currently don't require interventions get to choose from a variety of classes they can take. This year during RTI time I ran a "Game Creation" class where students were broken into small groups and worked together to create various games, and for one of our units within this class we did dance creation. Below is a dance created by some of my 3rd graders. For more games that were made by my students this year check out my Student Made Games post.

Dance Teams

At the end of my Dance unit with my 3rd-6th graders I close with a project where students are broken into Dance Teams and then compete to see who can make the most creative dance. As requirements for their routines the dance must be 60-90 seconds in length, have a definitive ending, and have both solo and synchronized sections. Though I give my students class time to work on their routines, many of them choose to come in and practice during their recess. Here are a few videos of some 5th and 6th grade routines this year:
